[] "Trying to determine what a word means by looking it up in a Websters is almost as useful as trying to determine a a politician's honesty by looking at the Gallop Poll." "Webster's" is not a trademark. It's a generic term, like "dictionary". My favorite dictionary (no flames, please) is "Merriam Webster's Third International Dictionary." My least favorite dictionary also has "Webster's" in the title. "Merriam" is a trademark, and some of their dictionaries are excellent. -=- Andrew Klossner (decvax!tektronix!orca!andrew) [UUCP] (orca!andrew.tektronix@csnet-relay) [ARPA]
