The week of December 2-6, 1985, the Professional Development Committee of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of ACM is offering ten Professional Development Seminars at the University of Maryland, Center of Adult Education in College Park. Two courses will be held concurrently from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Lodging is available on and off campus. Dec. 4 Logical Database Design (John C. Tunnell and Ron A. Phillips). Dec. 4 Local Network Technology (Dr. William Stallings). Dec. 5 Creating Direct Manipulation User Interfaces (Dr. Ben Shneiderman). Dec. 5 The UNIX Operating System (Dr. John H. Carson). Dec. 6 Software Development in Pascal (Dr. Thomas F. Reid). Dec. 6 C Programming for the Experienced Programmer Design / Analyst (Dr. John H. Carson).
