PROGRAM MANAGER COMPUTER SCIENTIST The Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Air Force Systems Command, located at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC, invites applications from qualified U.S. citizens to manage an established program of basic research in computer science. The successful applicant will manage the United States Air Force program of basic research contracts and grants in the areas of artificial intelligence, computer architecture, distributed and parallel processing, data base systems and software engineering. The program manager will have multi-disciplinary interactions with the program areas of research in the mathematics of numerical computation, signal processing and communications, and dynamics and control. A PhD in computer science or mathematics or equivalent is desired. Extensive first-hand research experience and demonstrated broad knowledge in the latest scientific developments in the field as well as a record of publications in refereed scientific journals is highly desirable. The position is career service GM-15 ($52,262 - $67,940 per year) depending on qualifications. No prior Government service is required.
