DoD UNIVERSITY RESEARCH INITIATIVE
The Department of Defense, through the Departments of the Army,
Navy, Air Force, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency,
announces the FY 1986 University Research Initiative (URI).
URI is a multi-component effort designed to strengthen the
capabilities of the universities to perform research and to
educate scientific and engineering personnel in key disciplines
important to the technologies that underlie a strong national
defense.
URI major technologies include: Analysis, Modeling, and
Simulation; Technologies for Automation; Submicron Structures;
Biotechnology; Electro-optic Systems and Signal Analysis; High
Performance Materials; Fluid Dynamics Systems; Human Performance
Factors; Environmental Science and Technology; and Propulsion
Technology.
Individuals interested in receiving the brochure that describes
(in GENERAL terms) the DoD's proposed University Research
Initiative should indicate their interest by sending a message to:

The message should contain a complete USPS mailing address.
SPECIFIC information covering proposal submission, deadlines,
format, etc can be obtained from the Services and DARPA.
