RESEARCH PROGRAMMER MEET PROJECT RUTGERS UNIVERSITY We are looking for a research programmer to join the MEET project, an on-going project applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to the design of mechanical systems. This project is closely allied with the other AI/Design work going on at Rutgers, including the VEXED/CRITTER and LEAP projects. MEET is funded by the Rutgers Center for Aids to Industrial Productivity. The person we are looking for will be responsible for design, coding, and maintenance of substantial research programs, in collaboration with the faculty and graduate students on the project. These programs will be implemented in KEE on a Symbolics Lisp Machine, and will also involve ZetaLisp and/or CommonLisp programming. KEE training is available. The environment at Rutgers is fully networked, and includes Symbolics and Xerox Lisp machines, various Unix machines and laser printers, and ARPANET and UUCP access. Minimum qualifications: BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Working knowledge of Lisp Ability to work with faculty and graduate students. Good research and problem solving techniques. Additional desirable qualifications: 2 years experience in programming, including at least one in a research environment and at least one in Lisp, especially Symbolics or Common Lisp. Working knowledge of computer graphics, especially for engineering drawings. Interested?
