The programmer will join a team building knowledge-based tools for financial planning budget development and management, employing symbolic information such as policies, preferences, and knowledge of budget guidelines in addition to numerical data. The individual will have primary responsibility for managing and developing the evolving FRM system, including: a) software design, implementation, maintenance, and debugging; b)specifying and building new components of FRM to interface with users, existing database systems, and other FRM modules; c)working with administrative staff and FRM personnel to develop effective models and plans for extensions to FRM. Qualifications: Candidates should have demonstrated skills with Interlisp, including at least three years of professional programming experience in an aritificial intelligence context. Also required is a demonstrated ability to work independently, take a leadership role in system design and implementation for a group of 3-5 people, and communicate well orally and in writing. A BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science or related field is required, with formal coursework in AI beyond the introductory level. -------
