23rd ACM/IEE DESIGN AUTOMATION CONFERENCE
CALL FOR PAPERS
LAS VEGAS HILTON, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA JUNE 29 - JULY 2 , 1986
DAC 86 is the premier conference devoted solely to the field of Design
Automation. All aspects of the use of computers as aids to the design
process from conceptual design through manufacturing are included. The
conference offers both a high quality technical program of fully
refereed papers and the opportunity to meet vendors of new CAD hardware
and software in an exhibit's area. Three session types are included:
regular paper sessions; short paper sessions; panels and mini-workshops.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Authors should submit five (5) complete copies of their papers to the
program chairman, no later than November 15, 1985. Each copy should
include:
Cover page: Name(s), affiliation, complete address(es), identification
of principal author and telephone number.
Title and abstract page: title of paper, 100 word abstract, indicating
significance of contribution , and an ordered list of number(s) from the
categories at the right that most closely match the content of the
paper. To permit a blind review, do not include name(s) of author(s) on
the title and abstract pages.
The complete text of the paper in English, including illustrations and
references, not exceeding 5,000 words. The length of the paper is
considered in the review process.
The following signed statement must be included: "All appropriate
organizational approvals for the publication of this paper have been
obtained. If accepted, the author(s) will prepare the final manuscript
in time for inclusion in the conference proceedings and will present the
paper at the conference".
Notices of acceptance will be sent to the principal authors by February
14, 1986. Authors of accepted papers must sign a copyright release
form.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Authors are invited to submit original technical papers of recent and
novel research, development, or product developments in all areas of
design automation. Topics include, but are not limited to:

4. Silicon Compilation
5. PCB Placement and Routing
6. Layout Verification, Design Rule Checking
7. PLA and Logic Level Design Aids
8. System Level Design Aids
9. Hardware Description Languages
10. Special Purpose Hardware For DA
11. Solid Modeling, Mechanical CAD
12. Human Factors in DA
13. Database
14. CAM, Robotics
15. Software Engineering in DA
16. Expert Systems
PANELS AND MINI-WORKSHOPS
Proposals for topics and organization of panels and mini-workshops
should e submitted to the program chairman. Each proposal should not
exceed two pages and include the description of the topics, structure of
the session, potential participants, etc. Submissions should be made no
later than December 13, 1985
