[mod.vlsi] reading calma tapes

dan@GODOT.THINK.COM (01/17/86)

I have a tape in CALMA format but I don't have a CALMA workstation.
Does anyone know of any software that we can run on our VAX that knows
how to read CALMA tapes? Any info that anyone can provide (as soon as
possible) would be very helpful. Thank you.

The Microcelectronics Center of North Carolina has a VLSI system design
package called VIVID that includes a routine called ATOL that converts from
one format to another, e.g., CIF to GDSII, etc. It runs under Unix 4.2 and
I have used it to convert CIF to GDSII. I believe it also supports conversion
of 2 or 3 other intermediate formats.
