However nice it would be if someone would report on those things, it's likely not realistic to expect people to have time for this - but your request for info on where one could obtain this info in print shows, that you have the right approach to the problem. Of course, I suspect that often abstracts or papers could be made available online, but folks simply are not "conditioned" to do so on their own. so, your request, definitely had merit, and reflects what, I'm sure, many of have felt as a "craving" when reading those announcements.
