[mod.telecom] RJ-25 connector

According to a catalog I have here of such things, an RJ-25C is a six-wire
modular connector set up to talk to three separate voice pairs. The
connector is physically the same as the familiar RJ-11 except that all six
pins are hooked up. They say it is for "three separate telephone lines for
use with desk sets and ancillary devices." An RJ-25W would be the same
thing behing a wall-mount plate.

I have never seen a phone that wanted such a hookup. Sounds pretty
exotic.
