[mod.computers.workstations] Adding Disks and Tape to a SUN 3?

Please send me your experiences with adding third party disks and
tapes to SUN 3 workstations.  I am particularly interested in
difficulties getting them integrated, and maintenance experience
(i.e. who provides the service when needed).
