I need to know what kinds of network support one can get, and the
quality of that support, on the various workstations that have been
discussed on this list. Specifically, I need to fill in the blanks
and answer the questions in the following model for as many
workstations as I can:
For machine ________________ (manufacturer/model) running
____________________ (operating system):
o Is TCP/IP supported? If so, what are some specifics?
If not, are there plans to support TCP/IP?
o Is SNA supported? If so, what are some specifics?
What mail distribution service is available?
If not, are there plans to support SNA?
Any comments you can provide on quality of service, special
considerations, etc. would be most welcome. I'm interested in user
comment and comments from people who work for manufacturers, too. If
there is interest, I'll summarize for the list.
