An Impress plot filter distribution is available via anonymous FTP from "dione.rice.edu" (or "rice-dione.arpa" for those of you who don't do domains). The file name is "public/implot.tar" and it is a tar file (which means you should probably use image mode). This file contains everything you need for the Impress plot library, but needs the 4.2 BSD file "/usr/src/usr.bin/plot/driver.c" (or it's equivalent) in order to make the filter itself. The tar file is approximately 30K bytes. Please FTP from Rice only between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. CST if at all possible. There is a second tar file available that might also be of interest to some. It contains a map of the Continental US in two forms: pairs of co-ordinates (suitable for input to graph) and a plot file that was produced with graph. It is a good test file for any plot library or filter. If you want, you can grab that and run it thru my filter just to make sure it works okay after you remake it. This tar file is also available via anonymous FTP from "dione.rice.edu", and it is called "public/usamap.tar" It is approximately 51K bytes. I originally had these files as part of the implot distribution, but decided that it would be best to keep them separate. If anyone has any problems, feel free to drop me a message. If anyone cannot access Rice via FTP, I can mail you the equivalent shar file.
