We are using an Imagen Image Station with Lucida ROM fonts. Our DIMP package is apparently designed for an Imagen 8/300 and does not properly handle some of the special characters and the Lucida San Serif fonts. Is anyone else using a similar configuration? Is anyone else having similar problems? If so how did you solve them? I have contacted Imagen Customer Support many times about this problem. They have consistently been unwilling or unable to solve my problems. I sent them a written problem report, it was ignored. I sent a mag tape containing documents that would not print, it was lost. I have called them and they were not even interested in LISTENING to my problems much less solving them. I would like to hear from anyone on the net who has similar problems with Customer Support.

The biggest problem we have had with Imagen was convincing them that we knew what we were doing, and that they had indeed sent us the wrong floppies. . . . (It only took about a half hour to resolve.) Chris

In article <8603130246.AA16567@sdcsvax.ucsd.edu>, Steve Qualline,
celerity!sdo who is either at Celerity Computing or sdcsvax
complains about a problem he experienced with an Imagen product
and his dissatisfaction with the way Imagen was handling it.
I can't offer help on his problem, but my experience with
Imagen's tech support has been very positive.
I sent a request to the moderator to forward my problem
instead of posting it and in response, a representative
of Imagen who was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable
got back to me with the answer a few days later.
I wouldn't even add more traffic to the net except that
I think Imagen has been unfairly accused and fairness
demands a response.
