I would be interested in hearing from people out there using METAFONT to create new fonts (or re-creating some existing, presumably non-protected, font). For instance, is anybody working on such fonts as: o script o old classics such as Garamond, Bodoni, Caslon, Baskerville etc. o Times Roman (tm), Helvetica (tm) lookalikes o symbols, ornaments, pictograms, etc. It would be nice if you were willing to share your achievements. I myself have made attempts at the DIN standard technical lettering font, which isn't very good (yet), and (with more success) the OCR-A font (this was easy, the translation to METAFONT was rather straightforward). I posted the OCR-A font to net.sources some time ago. Respond by mail, I will summarize to the net. \def\tml{Tor Lillqvist, Technical Research Centre of Finland} tml@fingate.bitnet == tml@santra.uucp == mcvax!santra!tml
