We are thinking of installing a Qume Laser10 laser printer. Anyone out there had any experience with it? All information welcome. We need it primarily for (relatively) high volume work producing technical documentation, possibly graphics in the future (using the 'run before you can walk' approach), and reasonably high quality user manual masters for photocopying. Judging by the throughput on our daisywheels at the moment, and using some educated guesswork, we would estimate that the 3000 pages/month throughput of the Canon type engine is not quite enough for the next two years, and the 5000 pages/month of the Qume (is it an Hitachi engine?) will probably cope reasonably well. And judging from the evaluation unit and the specs., it seems good value for money (hoots, mon!). Incidentally, is the Laser10 called a Laser10 in the U.S. as well? Seems to be conspicuous by its absence in the news. --- ----------------------------------------------------------------- |Steve Lademann |Phone: 44 727 59292 x326 | |Marconi Instruments Ltd|UUCP : ...mcvax!ukc!hrc63!miduet!steve | |St. Albans AL4 0JN |NRS : steve@uk.co.gec-mi-at | |Herts.
