Our lab just got a DEC LN03 laser printer. I installed it today. It looks very fragile and subject to damage by misguided users. I don't know anybody else who has one. If you have one I'd like to hear from you about whether it is fragile, and about what sort of things users have done in breaking it. Do they put their thumbs on the photoreceptor? Do they dump toner into the wrong hole? Do they break or bend the copper discharge fingers? Brian Reid

Well, I don't think it is fragile. I have used my LN03 at varios places during field experiments. Even down a mine, in fact . I find it easier to use, and more reliable, than a photocopier.
