We currently have one (soon to be two) Imagen 8/300's on our local ethernet. We are running the Imagen supplied programs to convert troff output to Impress on one of our Sun's. Everything works fine from the other suns. However, we now have a number (still growing) of System V machines (RT/PC's) on our network. How can they access the same facilities as the Suns? The itroff shell script supplied by Imagen assumes that it is running on a 4.2 system. Any suggestions are appreciated. Victor S. Miller

The latest host softwre release from Imagen (2.3) has System V support. If the RT/PCs use 4.X style sockets for TCP/IP communications, you can probably forge a working spooler from this release. If not, you can probably hack the given Sys V spoolers to do what you want. Or, bug Imagen to do it for you. -------
