Several times in Laser-lovers in the past couple of years I have seen comments that Ultrix 1.2 cannot print man pages on a laser printer--they come out formatted all wrong. This is quite true. There is a bug in the troff macros distributed with Ultrix 1.2. I learned today that no DEC customer has ever reported this as a bug in Ultrix. As a result of this, the Ultrix software people do not consider it a problem and will not fix it anytime soon. Those of you who have complained about this to Laser-lovers should also file a bug report to DEC, or else it's not going to get better. One could argue, perhaps, that customers are responding to this kind of thing by buying Suns instead of complaining about Ultrix, but that is very difficult to prove....
