We have an application for which we need to connect our APOLLOs (DSP80s) to an IBM host over leased telephone lines at 4800 baud. Unfortunately, the IBM host still uses Bisynch (BSC), so APOLLO's SNA products won't help. We'd like to find some software and a MULTIBUS card that will handle the polling and the low-level communications (and maybe the Block Control Character computation), but leave command processing and packet assembly and disassembly to us. If anyone has or knows of any software--not necessarily free--that we could use or cannibalize, I'd appreciate hearing about it. If not, but someone can recommend a MULTIBUS comms controler board, even that would be a help. Much thanks, in anticipation. Gil Berglass {gberglass at USC-ISI or (703) 845-3551}
