I need to interconnect an Apollo ring with Vaxen and PC's. The Vaxen and PC's have a SMTP based mailer, but alas, the Apollo does not. Before I reinvent the wheel, has anyone written a SMTP based mailer for AEGIS? Does anyone have an Apollo server/client example that I could plagiarize? Thanks.

Of course there is a SMTP mailer for the Apollos. It is your standard UNIX mailer. Works pretty well too if you know how to use sendmail.cf files. Does anyone have a good reference how to make the sendmail.cf files do what you want?
