If you have access to a DSP9000 I understand that there is such a dynamic tracing tool available. We are trying to get a copy of it from Alliant (the DSP9000 supplier). Such a tool is *really* useful on vector arithmetic machines, as it is the only way to find out what subroutines need to be modified to increase the program's throughput. This applies to page-fault generation as well as CPU time usage.
