[mod.computers.apollo] a test of the mailing list

ortiz@YALE.ARPA (Luis F. Ortiz) (11/14/86)

This is a test to determine if this mailing list is now
functional enough to risk gatewaying it without a moderator.

I received the test message of Nov. 13th for the Apollo
mailing list just fine ... but I haven't seen any mail
from the mailing list for over a month. Has the list been
   dead that long?

There we a couple of actual submissions when the list went into a
moderated mode, but when they were manually posted, about 50 % of the
addresses failed because of the problems the ARPANET was having.

In particular, messages to the eastern seaboard and to California
bounced madly. Since these problems have now subsided, I hoped to get
this mailing-list alive and well.

If anyone had posted articles to APOLLO and not seen them distributed,
I encourage everyone to repost.
