Hello, We have just received several laserwriters for our Apollo network and various other machines, and I have a few questions to ask. Two of the Laserwriters work fine running off of a serial line, using the supplied print server. The serial line I'm using for those has pins 1 and 7 straight through (grounds) and 2,3 reversed (receive/transmit) Another laserwriter is hooked up the same way (I even tried using one of the cables from the working laserwriters), but the printer server times out waiting for the Laserwriter to respond. The active light on the laserwriter blinks as if it were receiving data when I start the server, then about 10 seconds later, the server comes back and says "Unable to communicate with printer". I'm waiting for an Apple technician from our communications dept to come and look at it, but in the mean time, are there any other pins that I should be using in the serial line (DTR and RTS?).
