On the subject of process priorities, has anyone else noted that current priorities frequently don't age properly (i.e. not at all)? For example, if you have a process at priority 3/14 and another at 2/6, both performing cpu intensive tasks, the one at 2/6 appears to get no cpu time, and the current priority is stuck at 2. My understanding of what should be happening is that the priority should age up to 6. After the high priority process finishes a time-slice, it's priority should be 3 and the second process should swap in. However, this is not what seems to happen.
