[mod.computers.apollo] Apollo Mailing List too large, Help needed, any takers?

Everyone is getting multiple copies of each message on the Apollo
mailing list.  The list is too long for one sendmail run within a
reasonable amount of time to deliver to every address without hanging
or mishap.  It should be trimmed to something managable and pyramidal.
We are willing to send directly to uucp and bitnet sites.
We are having the most problems trying to deliver to remote and distant
Arpanet sites (and CSNET sites through csnet-relay) where we have to
connect across a congested and unreliable internet link.  We would 
like a few good sites to agree to server as retransmission points
(and they could mail to a few good retransmission points, ad infinitum
like a ponzi scheme...):
