You will be able to mount continuation volumes without REPLY/INITIALIZE or REPLY/BLANK if you include /INITIALIZE=CONTINUATION with your original mount request. I experienced the same problems that you described, found this solution, but am left wondering why REPLY/INITIALIZE didn't work (it keeps on prompting for the next relative volume). Phil Young
