I compiled your program under 4.2 and with one exception (line 14 - open
for file 2 past column 72) it worked fine.
Oh, the net must have replaced the tab in column 1 with 8 blanks. That
can move some characters past column 72. Sorry about that. It's easy to fix.
I'm curious, can this be used to send ascii dump files across the net and
then undump them on the other end??
Yes. That's what I wrote it for.
