The Autoboot switch is tested after a power restart, a halt instruction restart, an interrupt stack invalid restart and some other restarts. If it's on RESTAR.CMD is executed. The normal fatal bugcheck doesn't test the autoboot switch. You can set the SYSGEN parameter BUGREBOOT to 0 if don't want to rebbot after a fatal bugcheck.
