Has anyone seen crash dumps relating to the loginout program? We have been getting INVEXCEPTN bugchecks on our 750's about once a day. The program that is always running is LOGINOUT, and the address of the crash is always the same. Examination of the crash shows the following on the stack 4 7FFE7D90 - Saved FP FFFFFFFD 00000015 - Saved R0 00000003 - Saved R1 00000001 00000005 - Argument count 0000000C - Exception type ( access violation ) 00000004 00000014 800B2B66 - Exception PC 00560004 Examination the exception PC shows the following instruction: BISB2 #05,14(R11) I have not submitted an SPR because I am not sure if it is a problem with LOGINOUT or with some code that we run here. I am planning on looking into the crash in more detail but thought I would try and see if somone else has noticed the problem... Steve Ingersoll@ISI-VLSIH -------

Here at Harvey Mudd we are also experiencing periodic system crashes on a 750 ever since we put VMS 4.2 on it. The bugcheck is the same as Steve's, but most of the time only the NULL job is running. There was a crash once, however, while LOGINOUT was running. I am still trying to figure it out. If I find anything I will let you know, and if you figure it out please yet me know. Thanks. PLEASE DON'T POST THIS!!! I MAY BE WRONG! Please tell the guy from Harvey Mudd who didn't give a return a.d. that he should try keeping monitor running on one terminal. I saw a Vax 11-780 with a cache board problem that crashed regularly when nothing was going on, and only when nothing was going on.
