The way that i have worked around the "scrft vs SMG" problem is to write an SMG termtable entry that is equivalent to the scrft definition for foreign terminal n . Then simply call the SMG-defined terminal FTn where the n's match. Either stick the compiled version of this termtable in with the default system-wide ones or point to it's directory with the TERM$TABLOC logical. You can then use both the $Set term/dev=FT<n> and $Set term/FT<n> forms of the command and you don't have to keep changing the terminal type when you want to use, e.g., PHONE and MAIL in the same session. If you are currently using scrft, then you (should) have the source file (scrft.mar or your own local equivalent) around. You can decipher it to guarantee that your SMG definition is equivalent. Hope this helps. -neville Neville.UMass-CS@CSnet-relay
