[net.music] The Kings / Blue Angel

dglasser@yale.ARPA (Danny Glasser) (10/02/84)

Does anyone know what's happening with the Kings (no, NOT the
Kinks), a Canadian group that was originally produced by Bob Ezrin?
I haven't heard anything about them since their two albums ("The
Kings Are Here" and "Amazon Beach") and their E.P. ("R.S.V.P.").
Also, does anyone have comments on the album "Blue Angel"? (Put
out by the group of the same name, which Cyndi Lauper was a member
of before she hit it big.)

P.S. You'd better speak up now,

It don't mean a thing later,
Yesterday's news is tomorrow's fish 'n' chip paper.

HARK!!!!!!!!

Someone out there (besides myself) has also heard of Blue Angel???

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! I had the good fortune of a friend
popping over one night with the (I believe) one and only album by
Blue Angel. I was only able to get it on tape; I tried to get
the album itself to no avail (I even threatened to flog the owner of the album
to within an inch of his life didn't help). For the longest
time I had no idea that was Cyndi Lauper in the group. She was much better
then, I think. Oh, after recording Blue Angel, I finished the tape
with none other than Bow Wow Wow (good choice huh?). They're pretty good.

Before signing off, do you by any chance know where I can buy
the Blue Angel album?

Thanx,

I really liked the Bow Wow Wow album with I Want Candy and Wild in the
Country (is that the right title?). But I don't think I'd buy a Bow Wow
Wow album since Annabella Winn left -- has anyone heard anything from them
since then?

(P.S. And what could be a better album title than See Jungle See Jungle
Go Join Your Gang City All Over Go Ape Crazy!)
