Because I do some consulting here in New York, I come in contact with DEC salespeople from more than one regional office. It seems there is not unity amoung the ranks with regard to testing DEC software before purchasing it. What I'd like to ask is - have any of you ever asked DEC to allow you to run their software as a test of its capabilities, and did they let you? While this is a VAX forum, don't let that stop you from responding if you've a 20 on the floor, or some other DEC machine. If you can, please tell me when and what software, too.
