Our 780 has only 4 Mega Bytes memory and that's too less for 40 interactive users. Sometimes when the system is heavy loaded I've noticed that there were a lot of network processes and no network process (except for EVL) was swapped out. Even the SERVER_xxxx processes are not swapped out. I've tested this effect with more than 30 idle network processes and about 15 other processes. I've found out that the VMS seems to swap non-network processes more often. Has anyone else seen this effect ? Is there a SYSGEN parameter to change this behavior ? Reinhard Goeth (Techn.
