We started using jnet v1.2 as a link from our VAX-750 to an IBM 4341 running VM. We had these "network partner exited" messages also. We field tested release 2.0 of jnet which stopped using DECNET for mail delivery. The problems went away! I guess either install vms 4.2 or try to get jnet v2.0. We've since put the VAX-750 on our VAXcluster and have been running jnet v2.0 over two dmf-32 sync interfaces. One link is a 19.2kb line to our IBM3081 and the other is a 2400 baud link to the University of Kentucky's IBM3081. We are very pleased with the jnet package and use it quite a bit. I recommend upgrading to version 2.0 though. Version 2.0 also has an interface for ALL-IN-1 to IBM's 'PROFS' which we use quite heavily since we don't want to log on to the IBM.
