Folks, Sorry to post this on these groups, but I can't find a PDP-11 newsgroup per-se. We are in need of a device driver for the RSX-11 operating system on a PDP-11 which will use a DEC DRV11-B DMA board as an intercomputer link. In other words, we need the PDP-11/RSX-11 equivalent of the VMS intercomputer link driver (for DR11-B/DR11-W). I'm sure we can eventually write one, but it would be wonderful if someone out there already has done this and has a debugged driver we can use directly. Please reply directly to PRINDLE@NADC.arpa because I don't read all these newsgroups. Any help would be deeply appreciated. I recently got a tape written with FLEX on a PDP-11 under RSX-11. I tried to copy the files on the tape to disk on our 11/750, but couldn't. Is there a way to read FLEX tapes written on other machines using FLEX on the VAX? Is the VAX FLEX documentation (VMS 3.4) correct? Any information is appreciated. Thanks, --Ian

Are you sure it is a FLEX tape? Maybe a FLX tape? Chances are that this is written in DOS-11 format which was created with FLX on the RSX-11 system. Shouldn't exchange be able to read it? If you have the RSX-11 environment (or whatever DEC calls it) on your system, then you can read it using FLX as well. Marty Sasaki
