We are trying to connect two VMS systems with DECnet via terminal lines, and are having trouble getting the systems to talk to each other. Here is some information: VMSA is a 785, running VMS 4.1, node address 63.1 PS51 is a 750, running VMS 4.2, node address 1.2 Both systems are defined as area routers. VMSA is connected to another system via a CI DECnet link, and PS51 is Ethernetted to two other 750s and a uvax I. The terminal lines are set to 1200 baud (for testing). Hooking a breakout box into the line and looking at the data with a terminal, I can see both systems sending START messages, but only VMSA is sending START ACKs. I haven't looked at the data at PS51's end (it's in another building), just at VMSA's end. If any of you DECnet wizards out there have any advice on how to get this working, we'd appreciate hearing from you! Thanks, Mike Iglesias University of California, Irvine MIGLESIAS@UCIVMS (BITNET)
