We run asynch decnet between 2 vaxen on different nodes. One system
is our 8600 running VMS 4.2 and the other is a 780 running VMS 4.1 (was).
The network ran just fine, but if either node crashed, the network
would NOT come all the way up. NCP had to be used to prod both ends
(I forget the prod commands) and then things were cool until the next
failure (or more annoyingly scheduled reload). Don't believe everything
DEC puts in writing...
