I was told at the announcement for the 8200, 8300 and 8800 that there is still a Micro-VAX III which will be available sometime this fall, this was from the district something or other. Also regarding the 7XX machines, the slide show depicted the Micro-VAXen, the 780, 785, and the 8XXX as the VAX family. There was no mention of the 750 or 730, and the propaganda sheets only gave a cursory mention of the 750, so I'd say the observations about phasing out the 7XX machines (at least the smaller ones) may be pretty accurate. By the way these announcements by DEC shook several used system dealers I know (shook them up that is). Bill D'Camp
