[mod.computers.vax] 9tk -> tk50

grayson@UXC.CSO.UIUC.EDU (Daniel Grayson) (03/10/86)

  How can one use a MicroVax II running VMS to copy a foreign tape from
1600 bpi 9 track format to TK50 cartridge format? (both types of drive
are present)

  The tape in question is a UNIX tar tape, and is intended to be read
ultimately on a VAX Station II running Ultrix.

  If you have the solution, please let me know.

Seems to me you should be able to use BACKUP/IMAGE to get the tar tape
intact from one to the other. (I could be wrong, it's been a while).
