[mod.computers.vax] DEAR MODERATOR : Subject-line deficiencies

djhawley%wateng%waterloo.CSNET@CSNET-RELAY.ARPA (David John Hawley) (03/14/86)

[This may be a silly request, and may be in the wrong place,
but if it is of interest could you post it, or give me some idea
of where to go from here. Thanks.]

Could the word "VMS" be placed (by author, moderator, whoever)
in the subject line so that we poor Unix users who like to read this
newsgroup for the (very few) articles on hardware/rumours are not
inundated by VMS related articles? Or maybe the newsgroup could be split
(and renamed) into mod.computers.vax and mod.computers.vax.vms,
or some other reasonably helpful way ? It is impossible to screen-out
VMS articles via the subject line.

These opinions are the best I could come up with on short notice.
I would like to thank my parents, my friends, the authors of books I've read,
and life itself for helping me form these opinions. However none of the
afore-mentioned necessarily agree with what I have said here.
