I have a problem concerning STARLET.PAS, though I have to admit that I am not familiar with installation of new products, since these tasks are distributed here. We are running VMS 4.2 installed from an original DEC distribution tape and now upgraded to PASCAL 3.2 also from an on original distribution. But neither the pascal nor the vms installation created a new starlet.pas. As I have been told, no error message appeared during any of those installations. Thus all the new symbols, for instance for the job controller are missing in starlet since our version of that file is dated 1982. However, we have a new Library STARLETSD.TLB, which seems to contain that information. But extracting the text module STARLET from that library did not help either, the text is not in any readable format. Is there any way to extract it out of that library or is simply the file starlet.pas missing. In which distribution would it be then? Christoph <ZRPLIB3@DTUZDV5A.BITNET> or <ZRGC001@DTUZDV1.BITNET>

You need to run VMSINSTAL using the the PASSTR032 saveset on the PASCAL distribution. That creates a new STARLET. You should have a copy of 'Installing VAX PASCAL' (order no. AA-J181F-TE) - that tells you how to build STARLET.
