[mod.computers.vax] More on SET RIGHTS_LIST problems/features.

DUGAL@uriecl.UUCP.UUCP (06/06/86)

The following is a summary of responses from the new SET RIGHTS_LIST
command. The "Error" column contains either "UNKNOWN" for the "unknown rights
identifier" error, "NOPRIV" for the "operation requires CMKRNL" error, or "OK"
for a successful command execution. The asterisk ("*") notes that, if the
target user has CMKRNL privilege, the command executes successfully. It's
also assumed that the user invoking the command with the /ID= qualifier
has the WORLD privilege.

Dynamic Authorized	Current Proc	CMKRNL Privilege	Error
------- ----------	------------	---------------- -----------

NO/YES NO NO NO/YES *	UNKNOWN
NO/YES NO YES NO UNKNOWN
NO/YES NO YES YES OK

NO YES NO NO/YES *	NOPRIV
NO YES YES NO NOPRIV
NO YES YES YES OK

YES YES NO/YES NO/YES OK

Each reader can draw his/her own conclusion. My conclusion is ...
I HOPE it's fixed in V4.5.
