cetron%utah-cbd@UTAH-CS.ARPA (Ed Cetron) (06/27/86)

As mentioned before, the FCO for the current DEQNA's is as follows:

		Order #EQ-01418-01	Part # M7504 ("E1/E2")	DEQNA module
							Rev "E1/E2"

		Affected Population	30,000	[ouch!!! -ed]
		Initial Kitting 30,000
		Parts Availability	June '86
		Release date: 4-June-1986

I've had mine in for a week now and 99% of my problems dissappeared overnight.

identification: All rev E1/E2 (or higher) boards will have
module revision stamped on the Magenta handle

Old board id: bad boards have chip#28-087K4-00 in loc. E11

Caveats: Must be running uVms 4.4, Ultrix-32m v1.2...
for the software to also fix some problems...
AND if your special custom drivers rely on the
specific ethernet address of your DEQNA, you
must swap the 365a1 ethernet address chip...

.....there is a long FCO fact sheet that is important for you to get when
you get your new DEQNA...
