Ok people. Enough is enough. I'm getting a little tired of two things: 1) personal attacks over the list, and 2) the UNIX/VMS greatness debate. The first doesn't be belong on this or any other list. Lists like this were started up for the dissemination of information, solving problems and getting to know people. Personal attacks are embarrassing. Grow up. The second is useless. Operating systems are like editors and can cause religious wars vary easily. There will always be people who like one oerating system over the other for various reasons. Among other things, whether or not an operating system is useful depends on what is being dne at the tme. We all know that there are times when UNIX has its uses and there are times when VMS has its uses. Please, no cracks about when or if. For those of you who may think I lack a sense of humor, well I really do have one. I just get irate now and then.
