DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO GET WITH PSI-MAIL THROUGH THE GATEWAY
PSS-JANET ( DATEXP - JANET )??

SO THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE HOW TO PUT IN PSI-MAIL IN THE USER-DATA-FIELD
OF THE NCB THE SUBADDRESS.

PSI -MAIL doesn't have the intelligence to go through gateways. However, all sites connected to Janet communicate via the Coloured Book software defined by the UK Joint Network Team; it was defined as an intermediate OSI. If you order the CBS from your local Digital sales office (it originates in England as Digital Classified Software, Order No. QUENI-UZ for an 11/780) you will be able to mail sites on Janets by including the necessary gateway info in the site authorization file. You wrote this in info-vax so I assume you are refering to PSI on
VAX/VMS. I can't find any problem whatsoever in using PSI-mail
thru gateways. You can send mail to me at the address
PSI%240200100303::JNET%SEQZ51::MATTS
and I receive it loud and clear. How does your problems show?
