ESC1111@DDAESA10.BITNET (07/15/86)
Two completely unrelated (and probably ignorant) queries:
1) Does anyone have an estimate for the elapsed time typically
needed for a process at software priority 31 to actually get
into execution after a wait of some sort is completed. I *think*
this translates into asking what is the longest period of processing
at IPL>1 which would be encountered during normal operations. I
guess this covers all the drivers and their forks and any IPL$SYNCH
stuff. If someone out there can answer (or maybe tell me the right
question to ask) I would be most grateful.
2) How do people make FORTRAN (Yes - I need to use FORTRAN) include
files from the output of the 'message' utility. Thanks to Joe's
VERB utility I can see that there are two undocumented qualifiers
/SDL and /MDL which seem to produce bliss(?) and macro include
files but nothing for fortran. Do I really have to resort to TPU?
