I have heard legends of a suite of software collectively called `Phoenix and Tuscon'. There is even purported to be a discussion list quartered at phoenix-request@rice.arpa, but my mail to there didn't get returned, bounced, or anything. Can anybody tell me anything about this stuff? Phoenix and Tuscon, I'm told, bring a BSD-like environment to VMS-land, rather like Eunice, but cheaper. This may go as far as object compatibility, but we won't hold our breaths for that. My main interest is in networking connections that may be made possible through this software, but also software portability issues are involved.
