We have a 780 and are trying to run two UDA50s on one Unibus. (I know we aren't spozed to, but we need the disk space more than we need the performance). The problem is getting it to configure - it doesn't autoconfigure, and if we run sysgen by hand it then recognizes the controller but not the drive on it. For a while it worked, supposedly because we put the uda50 at the 'correct' Unibus address, but this afternoon it stopped working even tho we didn't change the address. So it was probably working all along because of something we did unwittingly, and we don't know what it is. Jim Haynes ...ucbvax!ucscc!haynes haynes@ucscc.bitnet

The only time the second one doesn't autoconfigure is when it needs care and feeding from Field Service... UDA50s don't seem to do much yelling when they start failing. - Dan Cottler <dcottler%rca.com@csnet-relay.arpa>
