If you do forget (or don't have control) to convert the files to stream format, RT-11 utilities will have problems with them. Never fear, TECO/RT can read the files in VMS (same as RSX) format, and output files that RT-11 understands. I've done this many times in moving files between RT-11, RSX, and VMS systems. You don't need to do anything in TECO other than immediatly EXit<esc><esc>. Even Non-TECO gurus like myself can master this operation. TECO is no longer on the current RT-11 distribution kit, nor is it supported by Digital Equipment Corp. It can be found on old RT-11 kits (V4.0), or it can be ordered from DECUS. BTW, TECO on RSX or VMS can convert RT-11 format files back to what the host operating system wants to see. Bob Kaplow Digital Equipment Corp.
